Today I woke up early. Its super hot today and it was hot in my room for once.
My whole body hurts from yesterday.
Its hot today. I miss the other weather. I like rain and windy. I do like summer heat but I don't want it in my England weather.
I was supposed to go food shopping this morning but I forgot it doesn't open til 9 and I have to leave at 9 so I woke up and then just hung out and had breakfast and watched the Great British Castles episode about Tower of London. JRR Tolkien stole the name Gandalf from the builder of the Tower of London. The two tower concept also came from that era of history cause he built Tower of London and one other one. It was started by William the Conquerer then the next king added a curtain wall and then the next one added another curtain wall. I also didn't realize King Edward had a thing against jewish people and killed 10 jewish people for every 1 christian he did and then eventually banned all Jewish people from the country. That's terrible. There was also the peasants revolt during King Richards time. Richard II had his boy nephews disappeared because they were Princes in line for the throne. They finally found the bones hidden under a staircase in the Tower. Henry VIII used the tower a lot. I'm slowly piecing together British history.
I finally figured out my iCloud and was able to get 2000 of 7000 photos uploaded to the iCloud. Thank god cause I literally had no room.
Then I went to the V&A with Krista. When we got there she got mad at me for walking faster than her, our project, and just in general.
Then Bill came and we went in. I did the Dior show first. It was the same one I saw in Paris two years ago but it had a couple different dresses. Still very cool again but it was way smaller and less grand.

Then we went to the cafe with Bill and he bought us coffee. I got a early gray and scone with cream and jelly it was sooo good. There were really pretty hydrangeas in the courtyard and they were pink and purple and it looked really nice against the brick wall.
Then we went to the Food exhibit which was really interesting. It wasn't what I thought it was cause all the posters were avant garde still life's of bright food with objects like a fish bowl that were really cool graphics. But instead it was actually about sustainability which was awesome. Also the whole exhibit was really pretty and had peach sheer cloths dividing the rooms and really pretty fruit and insect design on the real walls. It started talking about materials and how things take forever to decompose and how some people have made things that limit waste and some people are using waste/unwanted materials to make items that will naturally decompose after use. Then it went to talking about farming of vegetables and fruit and stuff but also animals. There was an interesting thing on Hong Kong and how they have absolutely no space and encourage people to have tiny gardens and a lot of people have made little zines and stuff to promote it. It also talked about how in Britain during the war they promoted having tiny gardens to supplement rations. Then it talked about new stuff and there was two taste stations. One was a weird lemon rosemary drink which was sorta bad but okay. It would've been better watered down. Then there was this station where you got to choose 3 out of 10 things so I choose: Vegan, delicious, zero waste. Then from that they make you a little cracker thing that fits those. Mine was a little cracker with mushroom herb sauce and a little microgreen and a piece of barley. It was okay. Everyone else really liked there combination thing.

Then I wandered around the museum. There was an ironwork room, china room, japan room, Korea room, room with big sculpture items, medieval art, British art, illustration, paintings, 20th century art. They had everything but it seemed like a one of everything type of deal and all the categories were one room only essentially which was interesting. I liked that they mixed old stuff with new stuff so in the Japan room there were ancient royal stuff like kimonos and teapots and stuff but then there was also anime things and hello kitty all next to each other.
After the museum I went back to the flat and went to Waitrose. This week I got rice things for dinner again. I just really dont know what to make for dinner cause our stove and oven are weird and freak me out. Then for lunch I'm gonna make cream cheese, dill, cucumber sandwhiches! I'm pumped. (i also got ice cream)
Then I went downstairs and worked on art stuff all afternoon.
Then we went to AWG for the Peter Saville talk. It was sooo interesting. He is such an influential designer it's crazy. He's made soooooo many album covers, worked for sports, fashion, and done sooo much. His first album cover he made was the Joy Division one which is probably the most iconic design work ever. He's done album covers for Joy Division, and then New Order, the Killers, Peter Gabriel, 30 Seconds to Mars, and more. He did the logo redesign of Burberry and Calvin Klein and made the logo for Lacoste. Crazy. He just babbled for 2 and half hours straight which was a bit rough just cause it was long but he's soo intersting and knowledgable. Really cool talk.

Krista left the talk early cause she had a migraine and when we got back we found out that she has some sort of undiagnosed problem where she gets suppppper bad migraines that make her really sick and it's really not good and I hope she's okay. I wish she'd go see a doctor but she doesn't want to. I hope I didn't cause the migraine. I feel bad that she's stressed.
Other not good news we got another noise complaint apparently and I don't know what for because we haven't had any gatherings since the first week and we're only just talking at a normal level and the doors a bit loud but thats not our fault. Bill said they wanted to evict us but he isn't letting them and he said he’s discussing it with them and not to worry cause he believes we should be having fun and next year he’s gonna do a different apartment cause he’s annoyed with them and thinks we should be staying up late and having a good time and we can't here cause all the neighbors are old and complain about every noise we make.
I went downstairs and had a rice stir fry thing dinner and watched Love Island. Love Island was very scandalous today. Last night Maura got to choose a guy to go to the Hideaway with and she chose Tom, her couple, obviously. But then when she was getting ready she went down to get him and overheard him making a crude joking with the lads so she told him never mind for the hideaway and went up back to the girls. Then he tried to apologize but she wouldn't hear it. The girls talked about how its unfair that guys can talk about sex all the want but if a girl talks about it they're gross. I was hoping it would turn the whole show over but alas this show is too shallow. Then Maura went and eavesdropped on the boys and they were talking about how she's getting away with this cause she's a girl which reveals that all the guys on this show are actually terrible and objectify women.
Further on this show being terrible and sexist. Tonight they did a recoupling and all the guys got to choose who they wanted to couple with and the spare girl gets voted off the island. In a shocking turn of events Danny chose Arabella and it was dramatic In The Villa.
Today was not great and pretty much a mess but as Emma said "your week can start any day you want it to". So tomorrow will start a 3rd good week. It's sad we only have 3 weeks left (well I have 4) really and were half done. This summer is really going so fast and I wish it wasn't. I just want to remember all of it and experience all of it.
After Love Island I worked on design more and then went to bed.
