Day 17 VCUK-25 Jun 2019

I woke up early today cause people were fighting in the alley behind the flat at 7am. This street is honestly so noisy and they have the guts to complain about us barely making any noise.

I got ready and had breakfast and listened to classical music and worked on design. Krista feels completely fine today.

I went to flat 3 and then we all headed out to Mother. Mother is an ad agency where their whole concept is "Mother knows best" aka the designers know best and their goal is to make work that makes their moms proud. I've visited them in NYC and it was super cute. They have a wall that has a picture of everyone's mom. They gave us a tour and then showed us a KFC ad and a green ad they made that was really popular.

Then I went with Anthony to lunch at Tramshed. Tramshed is one of the restaurants BTS went to when the visited London so I'm assuming it must be good. It has cool art in it including a Damien Hirst which is a full seized taxidermied cow with a rooster standing on its back and it is suspended in water. It was really good and not too expensive. I got chicken and it had a little arugula side salad and ?bacon? on the top but it wasn't really bacon and it was soooo good.

Then we took the tube back and went to AWG for a talk from the CIA (Central Illustration Agency) which was really cool. I really like illustration and I could see myself doing that.

Then we went to the pub down the street on Bill. I got a Guinness.

Then Radish and I walked back to the apartment. We got another two noise complaint emails from Bill this time with an attached image and the direct complaint from the lady. It's the lady across the street that stares into Flat 3 all the time. She complained at midnight (early morning Monday) which was when Casey and Jake were outside smoking. However the picture attached is none of us. It's a tall bald man and a girl with a ponytail with their backs to the camera. They are literally trying to evict us and then we'd have to pay the noise fines and also have to find our own accommodations for the rest of the semester which is ridiculous. Bill said he's never using this company again to get flats. He's been using this company for 19 years and never had a problem until now though.

I worked on my VCUK stuff and finally finished the little illustration I was making for it.

I facetimed mom and lu for a bit.

Then I planned Dublin for a bit and then watched Love Island in Flat 2 and researched Peter Pan and worked on my VCUK blog.

Then we stayed up late ranting and chatting in general. I came back and took a shower and went to bed.
