It rained all night. I woke up to dripping.

Right above my door is a leak and it steadily drips so I emailed maintenance. They said they'd get here this morning. Opening my door was difficult cause the ceiling had swelled so I opened it 5 inches and it made it drip more and it wont open more.

I got ready and then had breakfast (tea, watermelon, cold pancakes). And then I blogged and waited for the maintenance guy.

The maintenance guy came right before 10. I think this is a common problem cause he knew exactly where. He said they arranged for a roofer to come but they don't know when.

We left at 10am. Today we meet at the Artist's Guild and then we have a intro meeting from bill, a safety talk from a retired police man, a talk from a previous VCUK person, and a talk from a VC person. Then we have a welcome lunch.

We got there on time and waited. Bill waited a bit cause Sasha and Rachel are coming today and he was hoping they would come on time.

He went over the whole schedule with us. We had tea and tiny croissants. The building is really cool. It's called the Artists's Guild and it's super old and cool. We went to the bathroom during the break and its up and then down some stairs and down a little hallway and the toilet is literally an old tank one with a little pully and it was so cool.

After Bill's talk he had policeman come and give us a talk about safety. He was funny but also gave us the rundown on the current popular crimes. People snatch cellphones out of your hand while on a motorbike and snatch wallets and stuff out of your bag.

Then this VCUK alum who graduated VC in 2011 named Celina came and talked to us. She's worked for tic tac, and victoria's secret. Sasha and Radish finally came.

Then Ross and Steven came and talked to us. They're Scottish exchange students who came to UD for a semester in 2011 and also did the VCUK trip. They're from Glasgow and the one guy had a really thick Scottish accent. The one guy does UX/UI design and the other guy started a company where he makes really sleek product design. It's really cool and it's been pretty successful. He's made watches, bikes, and furniture.

Then we went to lunch with the scottish guys at Pizza Express. It was aight food I got the superfood salad. Steven sat across from me and we chatted about his time at VC and scotland.

Then a group of us went to this one art store and then another one. The second was super cool and old and founded in 1855.

Then we went to the british museum. We were supposed to go with Bill but he cancelled it so I talked people into going with me anyway. It's free! All museums in england are free! We only made it through a part of the greek area before it closed and they kicked us all out. I went around with Casey and Krista.

Then we went to Tescos and I got ravioli and 2 things of pesto pasta and some ice cream and digestives (they're only a pound!), and hand soap for the bathroom.

It rained all day. They put a temporary board drilled into my ceiling to prevent the leak but it didn't work so I have to sleep in Emma's room now. I'm upset cause I loved my room and was so hyped to have my own little room in a British flat. Also I feel bad for Emma too cause now she has to share too.

We watched british tv when we got home. We watched this show called life at the zoo that was about animals in this one zoo and how they had to mate and then the one was injured and then the elephant was pregnant and needed to give birth. Then we switched and found this weird dating show. Then we watched this tv show about abandoned buildings which was really interesting and very dramatic. It told us about a huge abandoned rail station in northern Spain abandoned because of the great depression. It told us about this place in Russia where they dug 40,000 feet underground which was the farthest ever and was then abandoned due to lack of funding. It's called the bore hole. Then it talked about a place in SoCal that was part of the Manhattan project (making the atomic bomb in WWII).

Then I had my ravioli. We watched British tv til late. There was this weird reality tv show called Love Island that everyone's excited for. We were gonna have a get together tonight but it fell through. Emma went to Julia, Jess, Rachel, Casey's apartment and drank and hung out. She didn't invite us and I was too tired so I just went to bed. Krista and I watched Love Island for awhile. I blogged all evening and then went to bed at 11ish in my room even though it was still leaking but then I couldn't sleep so I slept in Emma's spare bed.

I hope I get to see everything but I need to chill out about that. I was originally planning to go to regent's park tomorrow before our schedule at 11am but it's a half hour walk and the weather hasn't been to nice recently. I need to wash my clothes cause I'm running out of warm clothes and I've been cold almost everyday.
