I woke up early to do work but just ended up doing some club stuff instead. KoDACC and DQ are gonna be a mess next semester cause I don't have time to set stuff up this summer.

I took the tube to Saatchi and Saatchi with everyone and it was cool. Saatchi&Saatchi are a huge Design firm and we got to talk to someone really high up and she showed us some of the big ads they've done. It was sorta weird cause there were some kids there too who were highschoolers interning for a week.

Saatchi&Saatchi work for Toyota and Tide and others their Tide ads were super cool. They are responsible for the superbowl ones and last years ad was iconic. It had the guy from stranger things in it and they spoofed a bunch of other commercials like cars and beer and then they would pause and be like you thought this was a beer commercial, nope its a tide ad-there's no stains on anyone's shirts. This essentially made every ad in the superbowl a Tide ad. They then wrapped it up with a few other ads and then towards the end of the game put a spot on the one commentators shirt which everyone talked about on social media and then it was revealed that it was put there purposefully by tide and then there was a commercial that blurred the lines between live tv and ad by showing the commentator running through the field and such trying to get his shirt clean. They then continued this campaign into the NFL season by making little personalized ads for each game that had commentators and and players featured with spotless clothing "its a tide ad" which essentially made the whole season a Tide Ad. The toyota commercials were tear jerker style about how Toyota is no longer just a car company but a mobility company and make lots of things to help disabled people now. They also are partnered with the olympics and paraolympics.

Then we went to lunch at the Pregnant Man which is a restaurant owned by Saatchi&Saatchi. I had already had lunch before we left so I guess this is my early dinner? Or 2sies? It was really good. I got mac and cheese bites to start which were eh but had a really good ?green sauce? with them. Then I had a salad with chicken, fingerling potatoes, olives, butternut squash, pumpkin seeds, and little leaves. They use really strange leaves here for lettuce. I looked it up and I think it's called Mache. They seem to use that as the main salad leaves at almost every restaurant in London which is interesting. It was good. We also had fries. Then we got dessert and I got vanilla ice cream with a brownie. The brownie was eh but I really love brownies with ice cream so I thought it was delicious. I also finished two other people's brownies. Then I was super stuffed. It was a mistake.

Then we went back to the flat and I facetimed mom. Then I watched RuPaul all afternoon.

Then I went to Bedford Park around the corner and watched MidSummer Night's Dream in the park! It was awesome. It's on my life bucket list to see Shakespeare in the park, specifically MidSummer Night's Dream, and it was perfect. I've never read or scene Midsummer before and it was cute. At first it was a little difficult to follow because there is 3 sets of characters and I literally never know any of the Shakespeare character names but I eventually figured it out. This cast had costumes in a 20s style which was cute. There was the fairies which was a costumy floral crazy style costumes and then there was the Athenians which was just regular early 1900s suits and clothes and then there were the actors who were in early 1900s clothes but more playful and cheap like overalls and such. The plot of the show is that this one athenian wants to marry Lysander but her mom wants her to marry this other guy and if she doesn't she should die. So the girl decides to run away with Lysander. Meanwhile theres another girl who's in love with the guy that is supposed to marry the girl. Also the fairy king and queen are fighting so the king has his mischievous subordinate, Puck, go and get this flower that makes people fall in love. The king uses the flower on his queen and has her fall in love with a mortal from the actor troope that he turned into an donkey. Then Puck uses the flower to make the athenians fall in love and solve the unrequited love and marriage fiasco but he accidentally uses it on Lysander who ends up falling in love with the other girl and then Puck uses it again and the other guy falls in love with her too so then its a mess. Then he ends up solving it and everything is put back to normal in the end except the other guy is still in love with other girl. So everyone's happy and they all get married. The best part of the show hands down is the play within the play which is put on by the actor troope for the athenian royals. It was literally ridiculous and it was purposeful comedic bad acting which was amazing. They also did some little songs in between different parts which was cute and I love and I wonder if all Shakespearian actors always need to know how to play a random instrument.

Other great thing about the show it had seats and there was "free" food and drink! I had a glass of white wine when I got there and some chips. And then at intermission I got this weird cucumber soda and stole 3 chips for the road.

When I left the sky was gorgeous and yellow and orange and pink. In the 10 minutes it took me to get back it had already faded and set. Today was lovely.
