Day 32 VCUK-10 July 2019

Today I woke up early and worked on my blog some more.

Then we went to the AWG and presented our blogs. Bill was in a very snippy mood which wasn't great. I was one of the first 5 and he didn't really let me present and kept cutting me off so I'm sorta bummed. I was feeling really pumped about art and all I've learned and stuff but now I don't really wanna do anymore art this summer. I say he was snippy for the first 5 people because Krista went 5th and he was really mean with her and made her cry. Presentations after that went fine and everyone did some cool stuff.

Then I went to Waitrose and Boots with Radish and bought lunch food and chapstick and a kinder egg. I am 100% out of chapstick. I dunno why this always happens to me at in opportune times. I brought 3 chapsticks and 2 out of 3 ran out and one was pretty much all run out already but I brought it anyway. Thankfully I found my Nivea Peach chapstick at Boots! I'm exciteddddd. I opened my Kinder Egg when we got back and it was Life of Pets themed and I got this weird cat that is upside down.

When we got back I made a goat cheese and walnut sandwich and then sat in Radish's flat all afternoon. I feel like there are things I should go do and see but I think I did everything? We still haven't done the London Eye but I don't really neeed to do that and I only want to do it with people. Maybe tomorrow night. I didn't get to go to any of the pubs on my list (Egg bar, Underground bar, Irish Pub) but I'm sorta over that. I also haven't gone to the filming location of Sherlock which is literally around the corner so I actually have no excuse. And I haven'd gone to see the last Police Box in London maybe I'll do that Saturday? I dunno. I still haven't gone to the Shard but maybe I can get people to go tomorrow. Lastly I haven't taken the BTS photos at the London Bridge or Tate Modern but maybe tomorrow. I'm just sorta tired. I'm not exactly ready to go back to the states but I'm ready to see Lu and mom and dad again and I'm ready to just have a lazy summer afternoon reading in my room and be fed real food from Dad. I'm excited for Scotland but by Sunday I'll be PUMPED. (but not hype for the hostel shower and sleep experience. honestly already vaguely stressed for Scotland-not for being along but because I'm spending sooo much money this summer and also I'm gonna be so packed busy in Scotland).

I worked on my blog a bit and then did the Wendy Scott writing thing in a half hour. It's not good but I did it and I don't care too much about it. No one likes the prompt not even Bill and I honestly don't know what I'd write besides this. The prompt is super vague and has three different topics so I just chose one. You could write about animals or nature or design relating to those or eco-friendly stuff and it only has to be 300 words. I wrote about how Europe is doing a better job of being eco-friendly and they're all just little things like having to pay for plastic bags at all stores, no plastic straws, no plastic silverware (its all wooden), and selling the "ugly" looking fruit and veg.

Then I finished watching Hwarang and worked on some more art stuff. I have a list of projects I want to do for my portfolio and need to do for clubs and stuff:

1) Delaware Quidditch crest (and then make a uniform and a poster with said crest logo)

2) new KoDACC tshirts and posters

3) Panera Gift Cards (theres a contest right now thats due July 28th and I think I'll do it cause I can put it in my portfolio maybe too if its really good)

(these ones are just fun projects to do this upcoming year and stuff to put in my portfolio)

4) a zine about botanic stuff (each edition is a different plant and its uses and myths maybe I will do to coincide with my science class this fall)

5) a zine about travel (each edition is a different city)

6) a zine of astrology stuff

7) tea packaging

8) a clothing company that is non-gendered and for all sizes and shapes

9) a BTS album cover

10) UDairy rebranding (i did this last semester but it was a failure so I want to actually do it)

11) national park something

12) app to remind people to keep in touch with people (something I need lol)

13) Curate a museum exhibit and design what the space looks like

14) a series of book covers

15) city illustrations

16) Disney imagineer a new country with full concept design for EPCOT

17) female representation in media project (maybe book or movie covers or something)

18) asian representation in media project (maybe book or movie covers or something)

19) tarot cards

Some people went out but I hung out in Radish's apartment. Salsa and I hung out for a bit. I car alarm went off for awhile which was annoying.

I'm panicking a little bit today because today is the (UD) due date for the Fulbright Application and I feel like I should've done it this year. Ugh. I decided not to apply this year cause then I wouldn't get to do my Europe trip or DCP after I graduate but I'm nervous I wont get the Fulbright next year ugh. I just feel like Korea's popularity is growing every year exponentially because of KPop and BTS so more people will apply and I will have a worse chance winning the award.

Then Radish, Salsa, and I watched Twilight and played the drinking game. It was great fun but I drank too much and got sick later. I facetime Syd for a bit and then went to bed.
