Today I felt awful. I think this is the first time I've ever been hung over. I tried eating some bread with a little of nutella on it but wasn't feeling it.

We went to the AWG to present our writing thing and I had to leave cause I got sick again. So I walked over to Tescos and got a banana and applesauce pouch and apple juice (funfact 3 boxes of apple juice here only costs 85 pence thats so freaking cheap). Then I went and sat in the park outside our building and ate slowly and hung out til I felt a little better. Then I went back in and read my writing thing and she didn't really like it but honestly I did it in 10 minutes so that's fine. I honestly don't think Bill even noticed I was gone cause he wasn't there for most of it. My classmates noticed though and were impressed cause they thought I skipped cause I was bored.

After we went to Shoreditch and got Pho for lunch and it was soooo gooood. I got the veggie pho with veggie summer rolls and some iced tea and it was honestly just what I needed. It was delicious and I ate soooo much and I felt way better after that.

Then we went to the D&AD new blood festival which was super cool. D&AD puts on this show to showcase new graduating talent and it was super interesting. There was actually a lot of illustration which I was pumped about and a lot of people redesigned the cover of Norwegian Wood which I thought was funny. It was a cool festival and I wish we had more design stuff in the states. Graphic Design is really big here and they even call it Visual Communications here sometimes so people actually know what that is here.

After that I went to the record shop with Radish and Xander which was cool.

Then we went back to the flat and I was going to nap but instead facetimed Mom cause I haven't talked to her in a while. I want to get on a schedule where I call home every night and then call Poppops and the two nana and poppys once or twice a month too just to chat and say I love you.

Then I finished watching Hwarang and I had ravioli for dinner.

Then Julia, Emma, Casey, and I went to Sketch! Sketch is the iconic place with the egg bathroom! I'm so freaking excited *eggcited we went! It was so freaking expensive but worth it. The whole place smelled soooo good and every single room was done by a different artists which is so neat. The entrance hall was all black with little shiny doodles all over and jeans glued to the wall. Then there was a little bar off that and stairs that go to the VIP area I guess. Then it goes down some small stairs and theres the coat check and then this one bar that was really really pretty and everything was painted like a fairytale forest and there were holograms in the sky. Then the next room is the dining room and it was completely pink with plush couches and the walls had a bajillion paintings on it that were cartoony and had funny little phrases. Then the next room was the egg bathroom!

It has "the east bar" in this dome and then if you go up the stairs on either side of the dome you get up to the egg bathroom level. It is literally soooo strange but so neat. The cieiling is different colored panels and then each "stall" is an egg pod sorta like a porta potty and then there's sinks on the walls outside. We took so many pictures. It was really cool and I'm glad I convinced them to go out to it. Then we got drinks in the east bar. The cieling of it was a super cool line illustration of historical icons and random stuff which was neat and then you sit on the outside wall and the middle has a sunken bar in it and there was a DJ on the far wall. I got apple juice cause it was the cheapest item on the menu and I still wasn't feeling great. The cocktails looked super cool but were all 13pounds or more.

Afterward we went and took photos at The Lightpole and then took picadilly home. Our tube ride home was very eventful because the train car that we happened to have to get on had a shirtless homeless man on it which was awful. He smelled so bad and the tube was busy so everyone was packed in and packed away from where he was. He had a extended stomach and his skin was peeling and his buttcrack was out. It was a rough ride back but very memorable.

I had ice cream and then watched They Shall Not Grow Old which is WWI footage colorized with sound put to it done by Peter Jackson commissioned by 14 18 and the Imperial War Museum. It was neat but didn't really have a plot like I thought it would. I dunno why I thought that though cause it is found footage. But it was essentially just interviews from WWI soldiers today talking about it laid ontop of images and video of WWI that vaguely relate to what theyre saying. The first 30min were in black and white so I was sorta bummed and then suddenly it smoothly transitions to color and then the rest is all color video and random posters and photos. It was really jarring and interesting how adding color to something, although the color still makes it look off, makes it more real and relatable since you're taking that added distancing visual layer of "old" black and white off.

Then I went to bed. There's so much to do and it's almost done. I need to pack and buy things and eat all my food and do some sightseeing still and finish my blog. I hope Scotland goes smoothly. I'm pumped.
