Day 4 VCUK-12 June 2019

I wish we weren't so busy. I want to have a chiller week where I can relax and have tea at home and sit down and read a book. I haven't done any "homework" yet either and I hope I'm able to do all my homework, see all the touristy things I want to, make local friends, and socialize with the VC people.

I woke up early and had breakfast (tea, watermelon, muffin), did laundry, and got ready. I listened to the classical music station again. Then I went to Waitrose and got goats cheese, walnuts, and bread for lunch. It was actually pretty cheap. Bread is only a pound. Krista keeps loosing things and it's driving me a little nuts.

The music station talked about how the UK is trying to become completely eco-friendly 0 waste by 2025 and people will need to eat less meat and dairy, take less flights, use electric cars, and stop using certain appliances which will be recalled.

Today we are going to Harrods. We are in that area all afternoon and I don't really know what the other thing we are doing is because Bill just wrote it in shorthand.

I made a sandwich and then we left all together for Harrods on the tube. We got there but couldn't find Bill or where he wanted us to meet. Eventually we found him cause someone called him.

I'm glad I didn't stay any longer last night because apparently Casey got sick all over the apartment and blacked out.

Then he brought us to Hyde Park and then we went to Harrods and wandered around. It started raining right when we got to Harrods. Everyone looked around pretty quick and then went to lunch at a pub next to our next place but I brought a lunch and had eaten it in Hyde Park earlier so I went back into Harrods and Krista came with me. I looked at fresh and bobbi brown but decided not to get stuff. Then we went to the food hall and split up. I got two scones with clotted cream and jam. Then I went across the street to the Harrods cafe for tea cause they don't sell tea in Harrods. It actually wasn't too expensive. Then I stood in the window of Harrods and ate my scones and tea and listened to the Italian cafe workers and watched the rainy London day.

Then Krista texted me freaking out cause I left her. I felt bad cause I forgot we were hanging out together and told her where I was. I tried to get back into Harrods but you can't bring liquids in so I stood outside for a bit and chatted with the Harrods door man. He was soo cute! All the harrods doormen are old British men in green long coats who sing and smile and are generally jolly and lovely. He told me about his plans to travel by train from Chicago to San Fransisco next winter and chatted about how I am a Graphic Design student. His name is Daniel and we took a picture together.

Then I met Krista outside Harrods and went to the pub everyone else had gone to. We hung out there and then went to top shop for a bit. It's super expensive but their clearance stuff was super cheap which is crazy! I found these wild pants that are black and the whole side of them are buckle clips. I also found this cute sweater shirt. I didn't buy anything though.

Then we went to JWT and got a brief. I don't really know what JWT does and they didn't tell us but they gave us a brief for BT Sport for this football (soccer) league next year thats the best of Europe. We need to make 3 posters in a campaign and it can literally be anything we want but it needs to have the logos somewhere on it. I have no idea what to do.

We're working in partners and I was slow to ask people. I'm Krista's partner.

After the brief I went to topshop with Radish and she bought stuff and then we went to Zara. I found a cute see through shirt at Zara that has sunflowers all over it but I didn't buy anything.

Then I went back to the flat with Eric, Casey, Mallory, and Jake.

I watched Order of the Phoenix and blogged and then facetimed Meg! My laundry was done so I hung it up and it dried. I facetimed mom cause I couldn't figure out the stove but then we couldn't figure it out and Xander came up to show me but then it didn't work either cause it would let out gas but never click so I dunno. I made my tortellini in the microwave and they were fine. I wasted time on youtube for a bit and then had ice cream and night time tea and chatted with Krista while listening to music and then eventually went to bed.

My blogs finally all caught up now I just need to upload all my photos from so far. And I need to work on my VC blog and projects.
